Growth Mindset: Beyond the Buzzwords

Growth mindset isn't just a catchy phrase. It's a powerful tool, especially for young adults navigating challenges like ADHD. When you believe you're capable of growth, you unlock actual progress. When you don’t, the ceiling drops fast.

A lot of us grew up thinking people are either naturally gifted or not. However, even the talented ones put in serious work. Growth mindset gives you permission to develop your skills, refine them, and actually own the results.

There’s a second layer to this too. I’ve seen people completely turn things around: better habits, better outcomes and still cling to old beliefs like, “I’m just bad at this.” That outdated story can be loud, even when the results say otherwise. Real growth means not just doing better, but recognizing that you’ve changed.

Pushing yourself past your comfort zone shows your brain new evidence. You start to see yourself differently. You become someone who can handle challenges. That’s confidence built on proof.

If you're curious how this gets implemented in coaching, we're here for it. Let’s talk about how your mindset shapes your progress and how to shift it for good.
